Daily Report Auto Closing: What It Is and How It Works

In the reporting configuration settings, you can manage how daily reports are generated, closed, and distributed.
This includes setting an automatic closing time for the daily report, deciding whether it should be printed or emailed, and customizing which email addresses receive it.
These options help automate your daily accounting and ensure your reports are always sent and stored correctly.

Step-by-Step Guide

How to Open the Reporting Settings

  1. Open the menu in the top left corner.

  2. Go to Settings → Restaurant Settings → Configuration.

  3. Scroll down to the section Reporting Settings (Einstellungen deiner Berichte).


How to Enable or Disable Automatic Daily Report Closing

  1. Under Daily Report, find the option Auto-close daily report.

  2. If activated, the daily report will automatically close at the scheduled time set below.

You can adjust this time by clicking Update, then choosing a new time from the selection window.

Example: Change the closing time to 00:30 instead of midnight.


How to Set Up Daily Report Emails

  1. Enable the option Send daily report via email.

Enter one or more email addresses in the field provided.

Separate multiple addresses with commas.

  1. Existing configured addresses will automatically receive the reports.

  2. Click Update to save the changes.

From now on, the system will send the generated daily report to all listed email addresses.


How to Control Printing Options

  1. To stop the system from automatically printing the daily report, deactivate Auto-print daily report.

  2. When turned off, the report will only be generated digitally (for email or storage).


How to Monthly Report Option

  1. You can decide whether to include the first order of the next day in the monthly report.

This helps ensure that late-night orders (e.g., after midnight) are counted correctly in the intended calendar month.

Example: If your daily report closes at 00:15, you can choose to include that first order in the previous month’s total.

  • Make sure your auto-closing time and report delivery settings match your restaurant’s operating hours.

  • Using automatic closing and email reports ensures consistency and saves time for end-of-day reporting.
